I don't know how many of you are still looking at this grand old dame, but if you do, :D! National Day is around the corner (1 more week!) and dear old Nan Hua is having the annual National Day Celebrations this coming Friday (7 August 2009). Be there, won't you? I know many of you have school celebrations in the morning, so do try to be at Nan Hua after the celebrations! For those who do not have school celebrations in the morning, e.g. those now in NP or RI(JC) :P, can we meet at 09 00 either at the canteen or Clementi Central? Wear any red shirt to show your patriotism to the country! <3

Hi people, this is Jin Guan.

For the benefit of those who have not heard/do not know about the upcoming Class Chalet, it will be on 5 and 6 January 2009. It will be a 2D1N event, so please bring a reasonable amount of clothes to change into and some toiletries also. Also, please bring along the 411 Class T-Shirt (Yeah, you know the very bright flourescent orange class tee that we got last year?).

Oh, and for those who are still in the dark, the money has been paid for already, so please only bring enough cash for whatever you're going to need, like lunch and breakfast. In addition, please do not bring any Tablet PCs, laptops or whatever it is, this is a class thing, so yeah.

On behalf of Jocelyn and Jiayu, there will be a Class Lunch on 5 January, just before the chalet. Please meet at Pasir Ris MRT Station at 12 00 for the Class Lunch. After that, around 14 00, we will start purchasing any snacks or groceries needed for the chalet itself.

At 15 15, we will take the shuttle bus from Pasir Ris MRT Station to the chalet at Aloha Loyang. Please try to tell anyone else who might not know about the chalet/not sure about the dates/etc., after all, the more the merrier :D

There will be a Cycling Trip on the 4th of Jan at East Coast Park.
If you're interested in going, please send me a message with your Name and the Time you are able to make it.

There is also the issue about whether it'll be night cycling or not.
For safety reasons, this trip does not consist of an overnight program.
However, if you want to stay overnight there, it will be at your own risk.

Those who are interested in going,
Time: 3pm to 8pm, 4th Jan
Place: East Coast Park; Meet at Bedok MRT at 3pm
Things to note and bring:
1. Money
2. Wear covered shoes
3. Bring along a water bottle if you have

In the event that it is raining that afternoon, the cycling will be cancelled.

deciding on a title

what's our title for 2008? it'd be good if we'd give our class 411 a "new name". i've got two pretty similar words for combination with the numbers 411.

and they are:

Gazelle - a small, graceful antelope. i've searched for a picture of the gazelle and it's pretty gorgeous. the gazelle displays elegance and poise, hence potrays a cultured, and well-mannered image of the class, giving others a softer feel or a lighter touch.

Gazette - which means an official journal with public notices and lists of government, military, legal and university appointments. Also, it can be used as a verb, "to publish or annouce in an official gazette". eg: he was gazetted captain. personally i prefer the Gazette as it could give the idea that we are gazetted top and ideal class. As the word gives a much "official-like" impression, its displays a stronger feel/sense, potraying a different image as to that of Gazelle.

these are two fonts for visualization. we'll see if we could get this up on the back noticeboard if all agrees. the sample is in the Gazelle form, as turning it into Gazette would just meant an extra brushstroke across the 11s. i've tried to search for gothic fonts as they would fit in more to our noticeboard theme, gothpunk (black+red) but to not much success. we could do with a little help on that area.

then we sakaed until 5

TRUST ME IT WAS TOTALLY EEEUCH.
probably would have laosai-ed the day after..

Well, lets just put all the class outing stuff behind us. We can still have one after the holidays. Afterall, this holiday isnt really like a holiday. Thanks to the various other stuff that we have that eaten our supposedly wonderful holiday.

1. Bring your health booklet after school holidays! (which day i don`t know. Dek Guan didnt specify)
2. Your tablet will be formatted after the school holidays. So do remember to backup your data!!

I know its unfair that they get to format our comp. Afterall, we paid for our own tablet pc. I don`t see any reason behind that action. Its "ruthless". Takes them a few minutes to reformatt our comp, takes us a few HOURS to reinstall everything inside. Bleah. What can we do?

i have a friend who knows this shop that prints jerseys in queenstown ( very convenient for you right , jiayu? :D )

im thinking of editing the class tee design to make it nicer too. if anything, let me know! :D perhaps it would be nicer if the picture was designed in photoshop? yeah.

hellos again, its me, Jiayu.
Thankyou to all the people who have commented on the blogskin, and asked to help out.
I understand that the banner of the blogskin is too bright, and colourful. To be honest, I wasn't really happy with it either.
I was like sitting there, infront of my tablet, staring at the words "Th3 A11iance" and "Showing You Our Unity" with the blank background. Then I thought putting all our names there would be nice. So I did. Using the class relay system. So its not according to index number. Then, I stared blankly again. -.o But anyway, it would be a temporary blogskin because I think the main one would be one that has all our faces in it. As in, with pictures. Thats the difficulty of making the blogskin. No resources. haha.
Anyway, I have already invited the people whom I know their email addresses to post in the blog. Admin will be given later, based on our members' requirements. I have already increased the length, and breath of the tagboard. Yeah.

HWELENG: I know. x( Gimme ideas and I'll change it :] black is not bad. But before I made this skin, i checked out other class blog's skins for inspiration. Black is not bad, but I think a lighter colour would be more matching, and looks cleaner and neater. More attractive xD

hello! This is Jiayu!
I will be making the blogskin for this blog tml. hopefully i can have it done in a day.
do tell me your email addresses if you want to join this blog. admin will also be given if wanted. ^^

Its gonna be the March Holis! and in order to let you guys keep updated with the homework and stuff that Mrs Chiang has uploaded, I thought a class blog would be good. (also considering that our class is a tablet pc class) :D

Do label your post (if you're in the new blogger) with your name, so people can check up your shout-outs with just a mouse click. label your post too, as annoucements, outings, CIP Project etc. Its good to get organised yeah!

So, lets start the threeeleven spirit!

p.s. i have no class pics. so sadly the blogskin wont have our faces in it. maybe we can take more class photos and photoshop it, making it into a great blogskin pic! start sending me pictures :)
